Overview

Global Traffic Systems works in the intelligent traffic systems domain, building tools for traffic management, monitoring, and operator workflows.

The internal product work focused on interfaces used by operators and technical teams to monitor road infrastructure, react to events, and understand the state of connected systems. These tools had to handle dense information, changing statuses, edge cases, and operational workflows without overwhelming the user.

Contribution

I worked across design, prototyping, reusable interface patterns, and frontend implementation.

My contribution included operator dashboard flows, traffic management screens, interactive prototypes, React UI components, and shared UI kit elements used across related products. I also worked on the public corporate website, which presented the company’s expertise and technical direction to external audiences.

On the interface side, I helped structure dashboard screens around clear information hierarchy: system status, alerts, traffic conditions, device states, and operator actions. The UI work focused on making operational data easier to scan through consistent layouts, reusable components, status patterns, and interaction states.

On the frontend side, I helped translate interface decisions into React components and implementation details, keeping design and delivery aligned across related screens.

Outcome

The work helped improve consistency across internal interfaces and supported a clearer UI foundation for traffic management tools. It also gave the team reusable patterns for dashboard-like screens, reducing one-off design decisions across related products.

Some internal product materials cannot be shown publicly for confidentiality reasons, so this case focuses on the public website and high-level product UI context.

Company Background

Global Traffic Systems comes from a long-running traffic engineering background, with public milestones across signal control, controller hardware, and urban mobility solutions.

For the website, this meant the visual and content direction had to support technical credibility: structured information, restrained presentation, and a clear connection between the company’s public image and its infrastructure work.
